The actors behind Davos Seawright and Bran Stark — two of the least villainous characters on the HBO hit — are surprised to have survived into Season 7, they told Michael Ausiello at TVLine’s Comic-Con studio presented by ZTE.

Cunningham, in fact, joked that Thrones fans are so hard up for characters without blood on their hands that they often think of young Arya Stark as a role model — despite the fact that she’s “a serial killer… who puts people in pies!”

Cunningham and Wright also weighed in on the Emmy nominated-series’ delayed filming schedule, the difficulties of working on a show in which characters are regularly (and unexpectedly) killed off, and the future of bitter enemies Davos and Melisandre. (Warning: Cunningham’s off-the-cuff speculation might have you doing a spit take.)
