Fyre Festival founder Billy McFarland announces location of follow-up to ill-fated event
Fyre Festival organiser Billy McFarland has announced the location of the second edition of the ill-fated event.
The founder, 32, has planned a reboot after spending four years in prison over the 2017 event in the Bahamas.
McFarland says tickets will cost up to $1.1m (£840,000) for the April 2025 event.
His previous attempt at running a festival ended in chaos; Fyre's first festival was described as the ultimate beach party, promising attendees the chance to rub shoulders with celebrities on a Caribbean island but ended with announced acts not performing and guests left to languish in ratty tents eating sad cheese sandwiches in styrofoam containers.
