This Fun Map Shows the Most Spoiled Dog Breeds in Every State

There's no doubt that dogs are a human's best friend.

Just ask Ree Drummond, lifelong dog lover and proud mom to plenty of pooches. Her family's ranch in Pawhuska, Oklahoma is home to several adorable basset hounds and two yellow Labs, plus a never-ending parade of other four-legged visitors. Ree adores the Drummond dogs and even created her own Pioneer Woman Dog Treats, which her furry companions are obviously obsessed with.

Chances are that you spoil your own beloved pups, too. After all, dogs are loyal, funny, adorable creatures and our lives are so much better with them around. They deserve every treat—and then some!

With that in mind, personalized pet gift shop yappy.com set out to complete a seemingly impossible task: finding the most spoiled dog breeds in the nation.

"Every dog deserves to be spoiled and enjoy the ‘ulti-mutt' best life possible and our findings show which regions, states and cities are treating their dogs the most and the breeds that are the most likely to be indulged by dog lovers," said Yappy founder John Smith. "We've delved into our data to discover who the most pampered pooches are according to their owner’s average spend per breed, name and where they live across the US."

The results are in, and they might surprise you.

Drum roll please...

According to the map, the number one most spoiled breed in the nation goes to the Doberman! The Whippet takes the bone for the second spot, while the Great Dane barked its way into third.

Ree's beloved basset hounds are nowhere to be found on the map, and according to the data, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is top dog in Oklahoma. So don't fret if you don't see your pup on the list—it doesn't mean you love your furry friends any less!
