Fujifilm makes camera and lens updates to its X Series

Fujifilm's FUJINON lens

FujiFilm announced on Thursday that it has updated its X Series with a new mirrorless camera and a compact lens.

The X-A mirrorless digital camera has been designed with taking self-portraits in mind and features an LCD screen that can tilt 180 degrees without being blocked by the camera. It also combines a 24.2 megapixel APS-C sensor with an image-processing system to create top photo quality.

The company also announced the September release of its FUJINON lens -- the XF23mmF2 R WR -- as part of its line of interchangeable lenses for the X Series. The wide-angle lens can focus up to 35mm and features a compact, lightweight design.
