A Friendly Visit For Sonam Kapoor At Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Office? Here's What We Know About It!

In 2007, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali launched two new talents—Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor—with his grand film, Saawariya. There were huge expectations from the film since both the actors were star kids, Ranbir being Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor’s son and Sonam was Anil Kapoor’s daughter. The stage was perfect but the film failed to click with the audience. However, it did give rise to two careers which went on to become highly successful.

Recently, Sonam was in town to attend her sister Rhea Kapoor’s wedding with Karan Boolani. After the wedding festivities, just a couple of days ago, the actress paid a visit to her first director and mentor, Bhansali, at his office. Soon after, speculations were rife about a possible collaboration between the two, but now SpotboyE.com has exclusively learnt some details about the nature of the visit.

A source close to the filmmaker reveals, “Sonam had dropped off at Bhansali’s office just for a friendly visit. As of now, there is no intimation about any project happening between the two. Bhansali already has a couple of projects that he is working on currently including Gangubai Kathiawadi, Heeramandi and a few other projects which are yet to be announced.”

Meanwhile, Sonam had wrapped up the shooting of her next film Blind in Scotland, in February earlier this year. The film is a remake of the 2011 Korean film by the same name and also features Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillette Dubey. Whereas, Bhansali has the release of Alia Bhatt-fronted Gangubai Kathiawadi coming up next. He will also be directing an episode of the Netflix series Heeramandi. There have been several reports about his upcoming projects Baiju Bawra and a project with Kartik Aaryan and Deepika Padukone as well.
