Fried Tofu with Mixed Vegetables

This savoury dish is a combination of soft egg tofu, tender minced meat and crunchy vegetables, bringing you a delightful taste in every bite.

Here are some of the ingredients that you’ll need: egg beancurd, Del Monte mixed vegetables, minced pork, shiitake mushrooms, garlic, water, oyster sauce, light soya sauce, sugar, dark soya sauce, Chinese cooking wine and corn flour mixture!

Fry the beancurd until it turns golden brown

This simple dish only takes 30 mins to prepare and cook! Let’s start off by preparing the beancurd first. Cut them up into 1cm thickness and heat up oil in a frying pan to 180 degree. Fry the beancurd until it turns golden brown. Then, remove from the oil and drain.

Next, heat up some oil in a frying pan and fry the garlic till fragrant. Proceed to add in minced pork, and fry until it is ¾ cooked before adding in the Del Monte mixed vegetables, seasoning and water. Did you know that there are no added preservatives and artificial colouring in Del Monte mixed vegetables?Besides, you can add it into any type of stir fry dishes! An extremely versatile and convenient addition. Proceed to fry until well mixed and combine the fried beancurd into the pan. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2tubes egg beancurd

  • 150g Del Monte Mixed Vegetable

  • 300g minced porkadd in 3 tbsp water

  • 3small shiitake mushroomsrehydrated and cut into 5 slices each

  • 2cloves garlicminced

  • 120ml water

  • 1 1/2tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1tbsp light soya sauce

  • 1tsp sugarto taste

  • 1/2tsp dark soya sauce

  • 1tbsp chinese cooking wine

  • cornflour mixture1 tbsp cornflour + 1 tbsp water

Instructions

Prepare the beancurd

  1. Cut the beancurd into 1cm thickness.

Deep fry the beanrud

  1. In a frying pan, heat up 800ml oil to 180 degrees

  2. Add in beancurd and fry till golden brown

  3. Remove from oil and drain. Set aside.

Fry the ingredients and serve

  1. In a frying pan, heat up 1 tbsp oil. Fry garlic till fragrant.

  2. Add in minced pork and fry till ¾ cooked.

  3. Add in Del Monte mixed vegetables, all the seasoning and water. Fry to well mixed.

  4. Add in the fried beancurd and simmer for 2 mins.

  5. Add in corn flour mixture to thicken the sauce.

  6. Serve immediately.
