The fried chicken and waffles craze continues with Popeyes' latest offering
Ever wanted to try the savoury and sweet combination of fried chicken and waffles that everyone keeps raving about? Now you can for $6.90 thanks to fast food chain Popeyes.
Popeyes has launched their new Chicken & Waffle ($6.90 for a la carte, $8.90 for a set meal) in Singapore, available at all outlets from Tuesday (20 March).
The Chicken & Waffle comes with a deep-fried chicken thigh with nacho cheese sauce, chilli sauce, and maple syrup drizzled on the top. The crispy chicken is sandwiched between two pieces of rectangular-shaped waffles.
This Southern American dish has been very popular in Singapore over the last few years.
An American diner favourite, chicken and waffles first started gaining popularity in American-themed restaurants such as OverEasy and The Beast in Singapore. By 2016, foodies could find relatively affordable options across cafes in Singapore.
Other places where you can get Fried Chicken and Waffles in Singapore include Sin Lee Foods in Jalan Bukit Ho Swee, iconic New York eatery Clinton Street Baking Company at Purvis Street, and café Revelry at Lorong Kilat, to name a few.
