Fred Cheng celebrates fan club's five year anniversary
13 Jul – Hong Kong singer Fred Cheng recently celebrated the fifth year anniversary of his fan club surrounded by his many loyal fans and their family members.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who appeared at the event held at a karaoke place in the APM Mall Kwun Tong on 10 July, said that five years went by in a blink of an eye.
"When I am reminded of how it all started, it brought back a lot of memories. I am so glad that the number of fans have been increasing each year," he said.
Fred also stated that a lot has happened in the five years since he won "The Voice of Stars" in 2013.
"Fans who were dating are now married, and the ones who are married are now coming to the event with the whole family. I am witnessing their growth myself," he said.
As for his future plans, Fred said that he expects to continue to work as a singer and actor.
"I am recording new songs now. The plan is to launch a new album in August. After the promotions, I hope to have an opportunity to shoot a new drama," he said.
Fred added that his last drama was the Gallen Lo-starrer, "Provocateur", and that he hopes to do another series that is as enjoyable as the previous one.
