Frasier reboot trailer brings back something from classic show
The first trailer for the Paramount+ Frasier reboot has landed ahead of its release next month.
The trailer sees Kelsey Grammer back in the role of the famed psychiatrist and once again he's also singing a new version of the show's iconic closing theme 'Tossed Salads & Scrambled Eggs'.
The character of Frasier Crane was first played by Grammer in '80s sitcom Cheers, which was set in Boston. The 90s series saw Frasier return to his home city of Seattle, after going through a divorce from wife Lilith, mother of his son Frederick.

Now, nearly two decades after we last heard Grammer ponder over tossed salads and scrambled eggs, Frasier is back and he's returned to Boston.
The trailer sees Frasier arrive in the city to surprise his son Freddy (played by Jack Cutmore-Scott), who doesn't seem too happy to see him. Freddy has a girlfriend who Frasier has never met before, and has no problem telling his dad he doesn't want to spend more time with him.
But Frasier won't take no for an answer and decides to move into an apartment in Boston and take a job there, working with his old college friend Alan (played by Nicholas Lyndhurst).

While being back in Boston means Frasier will indulge in a beer rather than his usual sherry, he isn't any less uptight – in one scene, he stops Freddy from sitting on his couch as it has Christian Lacroix pillows.
Alongside Grammer returning as Frasier, the reboot will also feature appearances from Bebe Neuwirth as Frasier's ex-wife, Dr Lilith Sternin, and Peri Gilpin returning as his former radio show producer Roz Doyle.
Frasier will stream on Paramount+ in the US and Canada on October 12, with episodes available elsewhere from October 13.
