Fox Renews ‘Gotham,’ ‘Last Man on Earth’

Fox has renewed “Gotham” and “Last Man on Earth,” the network announced Wednesday.

The two bubble shows get a new lease on life, joining the previously announced “Empire,” “Lethal Weapon,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “Lucifer” and others.

The news comes on the heels of new series pickups at the network, including medical drama “The Resident” and comedies “Ghosted” and “LA to Vegas.”

The Batman prequel “Gotham” comes from executive producer Bruno Heller and will be entering its fourth season in the 2017-18 season.

Benjamin McKenzie stars as Detective Jim Gordon. “Gotham” is based on the characters from DC Comics and produced by Warner Bros. Television.

Comedy “Last Man on Earth” will also be entering its fourth season.

The show is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created by Will Forte, who executive produces along with Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Seth Cohen and Andy Bobrow. The series stars Forte, Schaal, January Jones, Mel Rodriguez, Mary Steenburgen and Cleopatra Coleman.

Fox has canceled “Rosewood,” “Sleepy Hollow” and “Pitch,” while others, including “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “APB” and “Son of Zorn” still await official word either way.
