Epic Games’ popular battle royale online game Fortnite has done its fair share of crossovers with various brands and musicians (with the likes of Travis Scott and Ariana Grande) over the last few years.

So it's about time Fortnite got featured outside of the game and onto some pieces of (potentially expensive) cardboard.

Enter Magic: The Gathering, a card game that has been around for longer than a majority of Fortnite players.

One of the OGs of the trading card genre is set to release a limited edition Secret Lair x Fortnite drop, featuring a total of 12 Fortnite themed cards in both traditional foil and non-foil treatments.

The Secret Lair drop will come in two sets.

The first set contains seven cards that are reskins of existing Magic: The Gathering cards with iconic Fortnite characters, items and concepts.

Existing Magic: The Gathering cards such as Wrath of God and Smuggler’s Copter are reskinned as Shrinking Storm and Battle Bus (I am hearing the bus horn in my head now) respectively in the upcoming drop.

The second set Landmarks and Locations will feature five land cards.

The five land cards contain one of each basic land type, reimagined as various locations from the colourful map in Fortnite.

This Secret Lair x Fortnite drop will be available for pre-order starting 22 July.

They will only be available for a limited period of time, so mark your calendars.

Pre-order will end on 26 July, so don’t forget to thank the bus driver!

Jay Chan plays a lot of Dota 2 and MTG. He's terrible in Dota 2 and a scrub in MTG, and maybe spends too much money on both games.
