Why does it seem like there are more cheaters in Hollywood than stanky towels at your gym?
In the past few months alone, Tristan Thompson cheated on a very pregnant Khloe Kardashian, Scott Disick was seen cozying up to a woman who was definitely not his girlfriend, and Donald Trump Jr. and his wife Vanessa announced they were separating after he allegedly cheated on her with Aubrey O’Day. And, it’s worth pointing out, those are just the ones who got caught.
It’s hard for any outsider to say if a celebrity should ditch their cheating partner or go full Beyonce and stay. Still, it's kind of entertaining to imagine what you would do...
So do tell, would you forgive these cheating celebs?
1. Tristan Thompson
Right before Khloe Kardashian gave birth to their baby girl True, photos surfaced of her fiancé Tristan taking a woman back to his hotel room. Worth pointing out, per Us Weekly: Just days earlier, pics came out that showed Tristan kissing a woman at a club. According to reports, they’re still together.
2. Ben Affleck
In 2015, people were shocked when seemingly adorable couple Ben and Jennifer announced they were splitting after reports surfaced that he had an affair with their nanny, per E! News.
People also reported that Ben was having an affair with Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus. Ben and Jen waited until 2017 to file for divorce.
3. Brad Pitt
You know the story: Brad met Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith when he was still married to Jennifer Aniston. Jennifer told People in 2005 that Brad grew emotionally distant during filming, and rumors of an affair started. The couple officially divorced, and Angelina and Brad had their first child together in May 2006.
4. Kristen Stewart
In what may be one of the most random cheating scandals ever, Kristen was photographed kissing and snuggling with her married Snow White and the Huntsmen director Rupert Sanders in 2012 … even though she was supposed to be with her boyfriend/costar Robert Pattinson at the time, reports People. Kristen issued an apology, but the couple still broke up.
5. Ashton Kutcher
In 2011, Ashton allegedly cheated on his then-wife Demi Moore with two women in a hot tub at a party, per US Weekly. Ashton and Demi announced their split soon after. One of the women was allegedly dating Scott Eastwood at the time and, in 2015, Scott confirmed what went down on an episode of Watch What Happens Live.
6. Jay-Z
Rumors of cheating plagued Jay-Z and Beyoncé for years, but in a super-candid interview with The New York Times, Jay-Z finally admitted that he cheated on his wife.
Jay-Z’s interview came months after Beyoncé released her Lemonade album which made repeated references to an affair. The couple eventually reconciled and had twins together.
7. Tony Parker
Tony was plagued with rumors that he cheated on his wife Eva Longoria with a teammate’s wife. In 2010, a Sports Illustrated journalist shared a tweet that basically confirmed it. Eva divorced Tony pretty soon after, People reports.
8. Gavin Rossdale
Gavin cheated on his then-wife Gwen Stefani with the couple’s nanny, according to a 2015 Us Weekly report. The couple divorced, but Gavin made it clear that he didn’t want to. 9. Britney Spears
Britney and Justin Timberlake were the "It" couple of the late ‘90s, and people were devastated when they broke up in 2002. There wasn’t much of an explanation, but Justin’s "Cry Me a River" music video showed a blonde who looks a lot like Britney cheating on someone. In 2017, the video's director — Francis Lawrence — pretty much confirmed to Dazed that Britney inspired the whole thing.
10. Hank Baskett
Back in 2014, news broke that Hank cheated on his then-wife Kendra Baskett with YouTube model Ava Sabrina London when Kendra was pregnant with their second child. According to US Weekly, Kendra flushed her wedding ring down the toilet when she heard the news.
Hank publicly apologized in a statement to People, claiming what went down wasn't actually cheating. Kendra and Hank stayed together for years afterward, but she finally filed for divorce in April, People reports.
11. Eric Benet
Musician Eric and his then-wife Halle Berry announced their split in 2003 and finalized the divorce in early 2005, according to People. "We all know I cheated," he told People in 2015. "It was out there. It’s a betrayal." The couple reconciled after his initial cheating but Eric says that "She just couldn’t trust me anymore. You can’t blame her for that."
12. Ryan Phillippe
Ryan and his then-wife Reese Witherspoon got married at 23 and finalized their divorce in 2007. At that time, tabloids said Ryan was having an affair with Australian actress Abbie Cornish, who he met on the set of Stop Loss, reports People. Ryan and Abbie dated for four years and eventually split up in 2010.
