When choosing a Halloween costume, it's sometimes hard to think of something clever, funny, eye-catching, and (perhaps most importantly) easy. We often turn to pop culture for inspiration, including our favorite movies, musicians, and TV shows, like Friends. After 10 memorable seasons—and countless laugh-out-loud moments!—Friends offers up adorable best friend Halloween costumes and cute Halloween costume for couples (think Ross and Rachel and Monica and Chandler). You can "pivot" from the one- or two-person ideas and get your pals together for a six-person squad instead with some fun group Halloween costume ideas, or you may want to roll solo with your own individual look as Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe, or one of the other hilarious characters on the show (we're looking at you Janice and Gunther!).

Although every Friends character has its own signature style, each also has a variety of alternative looks, too. For example, if you and your two BFFs have some old bridal gowns on hand—or can score them for cheap—you can totally pull off “The One with All the Wedding Dresses.” Or, if you want a more unique take on Red Ross, then you can build your own version of Space Doodie. Sorry, Spud-nik.

We've pulled together these easy, affordable Friends Halloween costume looks—from head to toe—with items you can order now. So whether you go at it alone or team up with your buddies, these Friends costumes will steal the show. In fact, we’re willing to bet the purple apartment on it. And since you asked, yes: You should definitely binge-watch the show every day leading up to October 31. For research, obviously.

Rachel's most memorable getups were during her time as a waitress at Central Perk. Her '90s minidress is a must, but you can definitely layer the look with a denim vest, too. And for the ultimate finishing touch, splurge on a wig for that impossible-to-imitate, signature haircut, "The Rachel," that took the '90s by storm.

Whip up a batch of fajitas, because everything is fine when it comes to your Ross costume. Steal inspiration from two of Ross's most memorable outfits (the infamous red sweater and the Rachel/Ross breakup shirt), and finish it off with some slacks and a dinosaur watch worthy of his profession as a paleontologist.

Monica Geller Costume

Unfortunately, we can't conjure up a Tom Selleck clone on Amazon, but we can suggest some ideas for how to dress up as Ross's little sister, Monica Geller. You could easily add in a chef's hat instead, but we think it's even better to include a nod to her actual profession: a certified clean freak.

Chandler Bing Costume

Could there be a funnier Friend than Chandler? If you want to opt for everyone’s favorite “transponster,” then you have it pretty easy. All you need is a sweater vest, slacks, and an excellent sense of humor. You might even add a name tag for your costume that reads "Chanandler Bong."

Phoebe Buffay Costume

Free-spirited Phoebe is almost as fun to imitate as she is to listen to (just don't shop at Pottery Barn while you're in character). A hippy-ish, flowy dress or skirt is the perfect base, which you can then top off with a sweater, wacky accessory (she was always wearing fun jewelry), or a guitar. Phoebe often sported cool braids and up-dos that you can copy, but we strongly suggest skipping the smelly cat.

How you doin’? Better, once you’re suited up as the most lovable Friend, Joey. You can easily grab a sweater, pants, and Days of Our Lives script, but if you’re a serious costume connoisseur, then we suggest lots of layers à la "The One Where No One's Ready." (But please, please don't actually borrow underwear from your roommate!)

Rachel, Monica, and Phoebe Girls' Costume

Want to do something with just the gal pals? This group costume is simple to throw together and will definitely result in some very Instagram post-worthy photos. If you're looking to scare off your current boyfriend, this should do the trick too.

There are few episodes more iconic than "The One With the Halloween Party." Joey dressed up as Chandler, Ross was Spud-nik, and Chandler was stuck as a pink bunny. Copy their, um, memorable style for your own get-together.
