Florence Chan plans to establish musical academy
21 Jul - Producer and artiste manager Florence Chan recently revealed that she has plans to establish a musical performance academy to cultivate more talents for the future of the musical theatre.
As reported on Mingpao, Florence, who appeared at the wrap-up party for her 5D musical concert, "The Storm Show" recently, shared that she is inspired to open up an academy after the positive feedback that the show received since it started.
"The work may not perfect, but it serves as a foundation for more development in the future for Hong Kong musical," she said.
As of now, the proposal for a musical academy has already rallied the support from the Nanjing University of Arts, according to Florence.
"I hope to spend my life supporting China's musical scene with my 40-year experience in the industry," she added.
On the other hand, Florence also expressed happiness with the success of "The Storm Show".
"When we started, a lot of people expressed skepticism. Some even left the production midway through. But despite all these obstacles, we continued to hold on to our belief and did our best," she said.
