‘Before The Flood': first trailer released for Leonardo DiCaprio's climate change documentary

The first trailer has been released for Leonardo DiCaprio's documentary on climate change reports Deadline.

The Oscar-winning actor produced and narrated the film, which is directed by Fisher Stevens, who previously won the Documentary Feature Oscar for 2010's "The Cove."

DiCaprio traveled the world for the documentary, speaking to world leaders such as Barack Obama and a host of politicians, scientists, and even Pope Francis.

Between scenes of raging floods, rising pollution levels and desperate animals, the Oscar-winning actor says, "We've known about this for decades ... and the problem seems to be getting worse and worse and worse."

"I just want to know how far we've gone," he adds, "and if there's anything we can do anything to stop it."

"Before The Flood" is due out in theatres in L.A. and New York on October 21, before being aired globally on the National Geographic Channel from October 30 across 171 countries and in 45 languages.
