‘Flip or Flop’ Star Tarek El Moussa Requests Spousal Support From Wife Christina
This divorce looks like its own reality show in the making. Although Flip or Flop stars Christina and Tarek El Moussa vow that they are going to keep their HGTV show alive despite their split, their legal proceedings could take a turn for the dramatic.
Tarek has filed for divorce from his wife and co-star after seven years of marriage. According to TMZ, he wants Christina to pay him spousal support but wants the judge to deny any attempt she makes to request it from him.
“It’s civilized, or as best as it can be under the circumstances,” says a source. “They have to make it work if they want to continue monetizing what they do.”
People magazine also confirms that Tarek is seeking spousal support, but it hasn’t reported on his request to block Christina from doing the same. Tarek and Christina have two children together, 6-year-old daughter Taylor, and son Brayden, 1.
“They continue to work and film together several days a week,” a source tells the magazine. “The children are their No. 1 priority and maintaining normalcy for them. They will do anything for their children.”
Christina and Tarek are currently filming Season 7 of their show and will continue to do so for the next seven to eight months. They have been living separately for a while now and are currently seeing other people.
