First Look at Tessa Thompson as Thor: Ragnarok’s Valkyrie
Here’s our first look at Valkyrie in ‘Thor Ragnarok’.
It’s no secret that Tessa Thompson will be suiting up as Asgardian superhero Valkyrie in the upcoming Marvel sequel, ‘Thor: Ragnarok’. But we’ve yet to get a good look at her suited up as the classic Norse hero.

Spotted on set by Twitter user @Bigr1g, Thompson is seen sporting a rather striking look - a mostly black (or dark blue) costume with a blue cape that clearly hints at Valkyrie’s comic book costume.
The face paint is an interesting addition, too - but this something we’ve already seen thanks to a rather cool Facebook Live session by ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ director, Taika Waititi.
Clearly, Valkyrie is getting a far more stylised look than her classically-armoured comic book counterpart. And it’s an interesting choice, given that other ‘Thor’ characters typically follow the classic brown leather / metal armour look.
But perhaps she’s supposed to stand out from the crowd.
Either way, these cool, behind-the-scenes images give us our first look at Tessa Thompson in the Valkyrie costume. And she already looks pretty badass.
How she fits into ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ remains to be seen.
