First 'Finding Dory' Trailer: Pixar's Favorite Forgetful Fish Is Back

After helping Nemo find his family in the unforgiving ocean all those years ago, it’s time for Dory — the amnesiac blue tang voiced by Ellen DeGeneres — to seek out her own long-lost clan.

On Tuesday, Disney-Pixar dropped the first trailer for Finding Dory, the long-awaited sequel to the 2003 smash hit Finding Nemo. The computer-animated follow-up, set for a June 2016 release, reunites the old gang, but now follows Dory’s quest to find her heretofore unseen family — if she can remember what they look like, and where they could possibly live.

DeGeneres returns as the voice of Dory, while Albert Brooks once again voices Nemo’s dad, Marlin. The trailer features Nemo, the young fish who was voiced in the original by Alexander Gould (though now that he’s 21, it’s unclear if the actor will be returning to the role this time around). The rest of the voice cast includes a line-up of heavy hitters, featuring Ty Burrell as a “misguided beluga whale”; Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy as Dory’s parents; Ed O’Neill as her guide Octopus; Kaitlin Olsen as a “kind-hearted whale shark”; and Dominic Cooper and Idris Elba in mystery roles.

Finding Dory also returns director Andrew Stanton, who this time will be assisted by co-director Angus MacLane. After a year of original films in 2015, with Inside Out and the upcoming Thanksgiving release The Good Dinosaur, Finding Dory will be the first in a line of sequels to Pixar classics, including a fourth Toy Story due out in 2017.
