First 'Central Intelligence' Trailer: Kevin Hart and The Rock Cook Up Some Explosive Laughs

Kevin Hart and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are both formidable entertainers on their own. And as the trailer for their upcoming film Central Intelligence makes clear, they’re hoping to become a potent combo onscreen. Watch the clip above.

Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (We’re the Millers), the action comedy features the ex-pro wrestler as a high-school-geek-turned-badass CIA agent. The diminutive funnyman Hart plays the former cool kid on campus who’s now a meek accountant. For reasons not entirely clear yet, the Rock’s character needs his old classmate’s help in order to save the world.

Obviously, lots of hijinks ensue, most of which put Hart’s hysterical character in danger, though we are given a glimpse of a lip-syncing Johnson in a fat suit.

The Central Intelligence duo both posted videos this summer from their time on set: Johnson pranked fans with a gnarly-looking (and fake) finger injury, while Hart posted a video of a ceiling tile accidentally dropping on Johnson’s head during a scene. “I can laugh my ass off now because he didn’t get hurt, but I was scared as s— at first!!!!” he wrote on Facebook.

Central Intelligence, which also co-stars Amy Ryan (Bridge of Spies) and Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) hits theaters on June 17.
