Beard lights are the 2018 edition of last year's beard baubles

If last year’s beard baubles were a festive hit for the fuzzy faced men in your life, this year facial hair fans can seriously up their beard decorating game.

That’s because fairy lights for beards have now arrived.

Yep, your tree needn’t be the only place adorned with twinkly lights, now you can give your face a festive glow thanks to these cute lights from Firebox.

The 18-bulb multi-coloured string of Christmas lights is available from the online retailer for just £10.99 and with each bulb flashing a different colour, they have to be on any beard owners must-list.

“Not got room for a Christmas tree in your dismally small rental flat? Join the club!” the website reads.

“Don’t bother with one of those dinky desk sized ones, just get these and make yourself the tree this year.”

Somehow managing to tread the line between being sweetly seasonal yet broodingly masculine, the festive lights are the ultimate way to prove your love for a kitsch Christmas.

The lights are battery powered and the pack is small enough to hide and clip onto your facial hair.

And they’re heat-less, so you don’t have to worry about setting your beard ablaze, although the company do warn that you should avoid wearing the lights when your beard is wet.

So if you’re planning on wearing them to the pub you’ll have to avoid unplanned spillages.

Oh and you should probably take an umbrella in case of unexpected downpours.

A similar product on Amazon has been getting rave reviews.

“Brilliant product, bought for my hairy son. Lit up his night shift!” one impressed customer wrote.

“Absolutly [sic] hysterical and was one of the main talking points during Christmas in our house. Lovley [sic] bright LED’s, good functions and apparently the clips were comfortable!” another agreed.

“Bought as a joke gift for Christmas for my daughters husband who has a very bushy beard. Thought the kids would love it.” Another user wrote.

Christmas lights aren’t the only beard trend that’s garnered attention recently.

Last year, in a show of Scottish patriotism, men were able to get a tartan pattern dyed into their beards.

And glitter beards have also become a thing of late.
