16 Nov – Malaysian singer-actress Fazura revealed that she planned on releasing a song with fellow labelmate, Shane Filan.

"But first, I need to meet Shane in person," said the singer, who was present at the press conference for the upcoming Elmina Lakeside Concert yesterday.

"I need to see whether we have chemistry, so that we can work together," she explained, adding that since this is still in its early stage, it is not known yet whether the song will be produced by local or international producers.

Fazura will be meeting Filan, who is popularly known as the frontman of Irish boyband Westlife, at the lakeside concert that will be held on 19 January 2019.

When asked how the idea for the collaboration came about, Fazura said that since they are both signed under Universal Music Malaysia, she was asked if she wanted to do a duet with Shane, to which she enthusiastically replied, "Of course!"

"I have always been a huge Westlife fan," she admitted, saying that it would be an honour to work with Shane. They've planned for collaboration since last year but since both singers had been busy, it was decided that the duet would be for Fazura's upcoming second album instead.

While this might not be happening yet, one thing is for certain, fans will get to hear the songstress' new single in the near future as she is planning to drop the LA-made track in January next year. Produced by Willy Beamen and Cameron Forbes, who have worked with various American singers like Demi Lovato and Tyga, Fazura recorded the song when she was in Los Angeles last month.
