Faye Wong releases song for Jiang Wen's new movie
18 Jul – Chinese songbird Faye Wong has recently released another movie theme, this time for Jiang Wen's directorial effort, "Hidden Man".
As reported on Epoch Times, the singer who has not made a new Mandarin studio album since 2003, recently released the song, "A Chance Encounter", a melodious number that perfectly showcases her ethereal voice.
However, the song's release only highlighted the fact that Faye has not released a new album for a long time, with fans saying that the singer has been busy strengthening her status as the Queen of Soundtrack rather than recording a new album.
It is noted that prior to "A Chance Encounter", Faye has performed a lot theme songs, including "Because of Love" (OST for Chinese film, "Eternal Moment"), and "Forgiveness", the song for "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils".
She also released several songs for her Smile Angel Foundation, including, "Heart Sutra" and "Smile Angel".
This year alone, the singer has released three singles, including "Forever Young" - the soundtrack to the movie of the same name, and a duet with Na Ying titled "Times".
It is noted that her last studio album was the 2015 Cantonese album, "Be Perfunctory".
