Fast And Furious 8 Adds Scott Eastwood

Scott Eastwood has been cast in ‘Fast and Furious 8’.

According to Deadline, the 30-year-old son of acting legend Clint Eastwood is joining the cast of ‘Fast and Furious 8’ alongside fellow newcomer, Charlize Theron.

“Universal in Fast 8 is introducing an exciting new character played by Scott Eastwood, the son of Clint Eastwood,” they said. “This just went down, and he will join another newcomer to the franchise in Charlize Theron, the Mad Max: Fury Road heroine who made her deal last week.”

Of course, this is just the latest big screen venture for Scott Eastwood, who is also starring in the upcoming DC comic book movie, ‘Suicide Squad’. And it sounds as though the ‘Fast and Furious 8’ cast is shaping up rather nicely…

But who will Scott Eastwood be playing?

Unfortunately, nothing is known about his role… but the film’s plot is thought to be somehow linked to the seventh instalment’s character Mr. Nobody – played by Kurt Russell.

During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Vin Diesel revealed that events set in motion by Mr. Nobody in ‘Fast 7’ would carry over into the next film. But quite what happens remains to be seen.

Scott Eastwood will join a returning cast which includes Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson as well as the recently cast Charlize Theron.

‘Fast and Furious 8’ heads to cinemas on 14 April 2017.
