Sometimes, the fashion world gives us something so outrageous, you have to stop everything and take a closer look. Don’t get me wrong, I’m usually the person who thinks nothing of spending $300 on track pants or getting pajamas tailored to fit. But when I heard that fashion’s latest big-seller was a pair of $95 cotton sport socks — wait a minute, say what?!

Yes, you heard correct, these 85 percent-cotton socks from French brand Vetements are selling for $95. Who on earth would spend that on cotton socks, you ask (even though they are made from a breathable cotton blend and sport the Vetements logo, which makes them super cute)? Well, according to Net-a-Porter’s VP of buying, Sarah Rutson, the site has sold more than 500 pairs in less than five days!

Rutson, who has an acute eye for all things cool, was also surprised by how successful these socks have been for Net-a-Porter, but given the fashion world’s current mania for all things Vetements, the socks might be a more-affordable entry point for people who want a piece of the brand (more affordable than their $2,400 jeans, anyway). So if you’re stumped on what to buy yourself on Singles Day, look no further!
