10 Feb – Actor-director Datuk Farid Kamil handpicked Niezam Zaidi to play the character Spark, which was previously played by fellow actor-director Zul Huzaimy, in his upcoming movie "Remp-It 2".

"A lot of changes can take place in 13 years, so I made the initiative to change Spark's character and make this movie to the best of my abilities.

"Niezam Zaidi is an actor who can ride the motorcycle well. He has also participated in several Malaysian Cub Prix races before this but at the time, I didn't have the chance to get to know him as an actor.

"However, I'm confident that he will be a breath of fresh air to "Remp-It 2" and I am very grateful for that," said Farid at the launch of the movie and Sifu International Enduro Championship 2020.

At the same time, Farid admitted that he was disappointed because he was unable to include Nabila Huda in the movie. He said that Nabila already had other commitments and would face scheduling conflicts.

He has replaced Nabila's role with reporter and stuntwoman Ahirine Ahirudin, a tough lady who is well-versed in riding high-performance motorcycles.

The filming for "Remp-It 2" took place for 53 days since August 2019. The movie is now in the post-production process and has been sent to the Film Censorship Board of Malaysia (LPF).

Starring Farid alongside other returning cast members such as Cat Farish and Julia Hana, "Remp-It 2" is expected to screen in cinemas this August.

When asked about Sifu Enduro, Farid said that the idea for the motorcycle racing came about during the production of "Remp-It 2", with the hopes of bringing the sport to a higher level.

To rouse excitement, the organisers have flown in motorcycle rider Tim Coleman from Australia to give a shot of challenge to the participants.

The championship that's organised by Persatuan 2 Roda Malaysia (P2RM) with FKX Film will take place on 28 and 29 February and 1 March 2020 at Ukay Perdana, Kuala Lumpur.
