Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb are so much more than co-workers. Spending countless of hours together as co-anchors for Today, the two have become quite the dynamic duo. On Monday, Guthrie decided to show the world just how much her Today co-host means to her in a sweet tribute on Instagram.

The tribute consisted of a photo of Guthrie and Kotb sharing a loving glance during a candid moment while hosting Today. Guthrie wrote in the caption, "lots of times we don’t even need words ❤️," alongside a tag of her bestie.

Fans went wild over the post, commenting all about just how adorable their friendship is. "The relationship between you, Hoda, and others on the Today Show, is so uplifting," one person said, while another wrote, "Your expressions tell us all how important and therapeutic friendships [are]. 💞."

It's true, friendship is so important—and Guthrie and Kotb have the sweetest bond. The two became the first female co-anchors of Today in 2018 following Matt Lauer's exit. Guthrie had been the co-anchor of Today since 2011 alongside Lauer, while Kotb became an interim anchor in 2017 before officially joining the show in 2018. They both had been in the NBC News network for decades, working as correspondents.

"I feel happy and thrilled because I have a great partner in Hoda," Guthrie told TV Insider in 2018. "You can't fake chemistry. I can tell when co-anchors don't get along. If you have that rapport, it makes people want to spend time with you."

Guthrie said meeting Kotb was "love at first sight." The co-hosts aren't too far apart in age—Guthrie is 49 and Kotb is 57—and they both have young children. "We share the joy that we get to do parenthood because both of us thought we missed our shot," she said.

Outside of work, Guthrie and Kotb are as tight as can be. "We're interested in spirituality and people's journeys," Guthrie told Parade in 2018. "We go deep in the makeup room. Maybe sometimes too deep. Sometimes there are tears—like, reapplication of mascara."

Guthrie said that Kotb is like a "sister" to her. "There are certain things you can't fake," Kotb said. "We trust each other completely and we have each other's back," Guthrie added. "We want the best for one another, and it shows."
