This is not a drill, y'all! American Idol judge and "Country Girl" singer Luke Bryan has officially been announced as the 55th Annual CMA Awards host. As a two-time CMA Entertainer of the Year winner, he'll definitely be able to hold down the fort as the award show's first ever solo host.

The Country Music Association shared the exciting news on their social media pages and let's just say fans were absolutely floored. As one of country music's hottest artists, it only makes sense to have him host what's dubbed as "Country Music's Biggest Night."

Luke took to Instagram to share the momentous news with fans and captioned the post with: "This is a pinch me moment! I’ll be hosting the 55th annual #CMAawards for the first time! Tune in to the live show Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 8/7c on ABC. Don’t miss Country Music’s biggest night!"

Fans immediately attacked the comments of Luke's post with their excitement. There were plenty of applause hands, hearts, and fire emojis to go around. Some of the messages left included:

  • "Literally the only reason I'm looking forward to watching now after your snubs. So excited! 👏👏👏"

  • "OH YEAHH BABAYYYY!!!! Its gonna be the best year yet!!! So happy for you!!!"

  • "Oh!!! Im so excited now!!! Can’t wait!"

  • "That's Awesome. I'll be watching. But I think his Mother @leclaire.bryan should join him as co-host 😍🎀💖🎀"

Last year, the CMA Awards was hosted by Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker, who did an incredible job. However, a lot of country fans noted that because the show aired smack-dab in the middle of the week, they weren't able to catch the show. This year's show is running into the same issue as it's set to air on a Wednesday.

No worries, though! If you're too busy to watch the live show, you can rewatch and stream the CMA Awards on their official website where you can enjoy the entire event. Hulu will also have the show available to stream up to ten days after the original air date.

With the filming for American Idol's 20th season underway and hosting duties for the CMA Awards, Luke is going to be mighty busy. We can't wait to see what else he has up his sleeve.
