Fan Bingbing forced to leave an event

27 Oct - Fan Bingbing seemed perplexed when she was asked to leave the stage ten minutes after she arrived at the promotional event of her new movie, "I Am Not Madame Bovary", held at the Central China Normal University.

As reported on Phoenix, the actress, who came to the event along with director Feng Xiaogang, was surprised when the host suddenly announced that she was to take a short break.

When Fan tried to negotiate with the management, reports said that they threatened to turn the lights off - a threat that annoyed director Feng very much, who said that he has never experienced such a situation despite the many years he has been in the business.

On 25 October, the CCNU management released a statement clarifying the issue, saying that they didn't know that Fan would be coming as well and thus didn't prepare a strict security plan.

In order to prevent any issue that might get out of control, the management decided that Fan should leave the event earlier than expected for her own safety.
