Famous Women Love to Swap Wigs
Refinery 29 is bringing us that hard-hitting news we need for the very real times we live in. The website has discovered that all your favorite divas are swapping wigs on the regs, and I'm totally fascinated. The reason? The ladies share the same hairstylist Christopher Appleton, and Christopher Appleton loves a good hairpiece.
Kim Kardashian, Shay Mitchell, Jourdan Dunn, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, and many more super famouses go to Appleton for the latest looks, and that often includes augmenting or replacing their own locks with hair off the head of another. (Case in point, a very similar-looking wig pictured on Kim and Shay above.)
"I’m not necessarily going to cut my hair or dye it to look like this, but I’ll play around with a wig and wear it for a couple hours," Shay told the site. "Christopher has hundreds [of wigs], so when we work together, I get to use whatever wigs he brings."
As Refinery 29 points out, nice quality hair is hella expensive, and these ladies go through looks faster than I go through boxes of Thin Mints, and so it just makes sense. What would also make sense? A new Hollywood blockbuster about the secret lives of the traveling wig. It can star Kim, Shay, JLo, and Xtina and it'll be the movie event of the millennium.
