Family and friends gathered to commemorate Godfrey Gao
12 Dec – Friends and family of Godfrey Gao recently gathered for an early Christmas celebration to commemorate the late actor.
As reported on Mingpao, Taiwanese singer Christine Fan recently shared a photo from the gathering, which was also attended by friends like Wang Leehom, Wilber Pan, as well as Godfrey's father Tsao Tao-cheng.
She wrote, "We chatted with Godfrey's father, and sang songs. Tonight was really a special night. God said, "A joyful heart is a good medicine, and a sad spirit dries bones." His family and friends must live joyfully every day. Only in this way can he leave in peace and go to the happiest and most carefree place!"
"We miss you so much, really, and hopefully we can continue to be family members and brothers and sisters," she added.
Leehom also brought a guitar with him and performed the Beatles' "Hey Jude", as Wilber and Christine sang with him, while Godfrey's father could also be seen performing at the gathering as well.
Godfrey Gao passed away on 27 November after collapsing on the set of the Zhejiang TV show, "Chase Me". His funeral will be held on 15 December.
