EXO's Lay files lawsuit against cyberbullies

16 May – Chinese singer and EXO member Lay (a.k.a Zhang Yixing) has recently decided to take legal action against netizens posting malicious and defamatory comments about him.

As reported on Phoenix, the singer recently released a statement via his legal representative, Beijing Xingquan Law Firm, claiming that there have been a large number of social media users releasing a series of serious insults, hate speech and threats against Lay and his family.

"This is extremely derogatory, and the vicious comments have now evolved into terrible cyber violence, which in return has seriously damaged Mr. Zhang Yixing and his family's reputation," the statement read.

The firm also revealed that they have already filed several lawsuits against a few of these individuals in February this year, and that the cases are currently in trial at the Haidian District People's Court in Beijing.
