The lifestyle footwear and accessories brand has embarked on an ambitious global expansion over the last decade and now caters to consumers in more than 100 countries, including in locations such as World Trade Center in New York, Emirates Mall in Dubai and Harbour City in Hong Kong, as well as shop-in-shops in Harrods and Selfridges in the United Kingdom and more. The company also operates more than 55 regional and country-specific e-commerce websites across the globe.
“From the early days of our launch of Cole Haan as an independent company following our acquisition of the business [from Nike], we envisioned the opportunity to bring this iconic American brand to a broader global audience,” said Jack Boys, CEO of Cole Haan in a statement. “Over the past decade, we have expanded our product assortment, our talent, and our partnership with a network of world-class distribution partners globally. As we reach this important milestone, we are focused on a range of opportunities we have created for the future of Cole Haan.”
Cole Haan said it recently opened its first office in Dubai, UAE to help it support its expanding presence across the globe. The brand also maintains offices and showrooms in New York, Toronto, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
“Cole Haan has been a pioneer in the footwear industry from the beginning and our growth over the past 10 years reflects the increasing customer demand for high-quality, fashionable, and innovative footwear,” said Adrian Santos, SVP, international at Cole Haan. “We’re excited to achieve this milestone and look to continue supporting and inspiring consumers in every part of their day in yet more locations over the next decade.”
While Cole Haan is typically known as a lifestyle brand, it has made waves in some active categories in recent years. In January, Cole Haan launched its third running footwear collection, a journey into the sport that began in June 2020. And the brand entered the golf category in April 2021 after it noticed that customers were wearing its shoes to and from the golf course.
