Former Mediacorp artiste Aloysius Pang pleaded guilty to drink driving on Thursday (20 July). For the offence, Pang was fined $2,000 and disqualified from driving for 18 months.

In the courtroom on Thursday, Pang listened quietly as the judge read out his sentence. He had previously indicated that he would not be contesting the charge.

The 26-year-old local actor had been driving along Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim at around 4.40am on 8 May towards Jurong Port Road when he lost control of his vehicle, hitting a barrier in the process. Pang was found to have 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the limit of 35 microgrammes.

Formerly one of the “Eight Dukes of Caldecott Hill”, a title Mediacorp gave their popular male actors, Pang left Mediacorp to be a freelance actor after his contract expired earlier this year. He most recently starred in Channel 8 drama “Dream Coders”.
