EuropaCorp Sets Production & Acquisition Team With Promotions & New Hires

EuropaCorp has re-upped the contracts for Lisa Ellzey, who will continue to serve as President of U.S. Motion Picture Production, and Federica Sainte-Rose, who will continue as Head of Worldwide Acquisitions. In addition, EuropaCorp has upped Ryan Wickers to VP Production and Development, Ellen Dickson to Creative Executive and has hired Zachary Garrett as Manager, Worldwide Acquisitions.

Under Ellzey, EuropaCorp’s upcoming slate includes the Thomas Vinterberg movie Kursk, based on Robert Moore’s tome A Time to Die, and starring Colin Firth and Matthias Schoenaerts. The pic scripted by Robert Rodat follows the 2000 K-141 Kursk submarine disaster and the governmental negligence that followed.

Sainte-Rose recently acquired the Jessica Chastain D.C. lobbyist drama thriller Miss Sloane, which is EuropaCorp’s blue chip heading into awards season. The pic will open on December 9.

Wickers previously served as Director of Development, and Dickson was an executive assistant at EuropaCorp. Garrett segues to Luc Besson’s company from Broad Green Pictures. He started his career in acquisitions at Entertainment One.

“We’re thrilled to continue to work with Lisa and Federica as they have made significant contributions to our company, and their leadership and expertise are invaluable,” EuropaCorp CEO Marc Shmuger said in a statement. “Ryan and Ellen’s promotions are hard-earned, and they each bring so much to the table as they continue to help grow our production and development slate. We’re excited to bring Zachary into our acquisitions department and confident he will be a valuable asset to the team.”
