Erwan Heussaff has no issues with wife's latest film

26 Aug – Erwan Heussaff has found it amusing that people were getting "insulted" on his behalf for the sexy photo of wife Anne Curtis and her co-star Marco Gumabao that she shared on Instagram recently.

The issue sparked when Curtis shared a poster of her new movie, "Just A Stranger" showing her and Gumabao's character in a suggestive pose, writing, "Tomorrow is the BIG DAY. Can't wait for you guys to watch and experience the heartbreakingly beautiful love story of Just A Stranger."

However, some netizens seemed perturbed by the poster, and said that it was disrespectful for Curtis to be sharing such an image seeing that she is a married woman. Others stated that she should avoid playing such a character due to her status as somebody's wife.

In response, Curtis' husband Erwan Heussaf wrote that he found the comments hilarious.

"Last I checked, I'm the husband and I know how I feel (which is completely fine by the way, thanks for asking). So no need to throw around words like disrespect or dictate what a person should or shouldn't do after getting married," he stated.

Heussaff said that he knew that he was marrying an actress and that he has utmost admiration for Curtis' career, and had never felt awkward when watching such a film.

"I actually actively gave Anne inputs when I read the script on how I think the story could be developed or portrayed. So, let's stop talking about marriage like it needs to change people. Most successful marriages I know are those where both parties kept their identity intact and grew as a couple. Also, let's not be sexist people, if this was a married guy actor doing love scenes, no one would have any issue with it," he added.
