Ernie Zakri and Syamel are now officially married
26 Mar –Eight months after their engagement, celebrity couple Ernie Zakri and Syamel are now officially husband and wife.
The couple shared the good news on social media on 26 March with a photo of the two following their nikah ceremony, and shared a prayer that read, "May God bless you and bless your marriage, and gather you both in goodness."
It was revealed that the ceremony was held at the Carpe Diem Serendah in Rawang.
The couple, who were hush-hush about their relationship prior to their engagement, met after competing together in the Astro reality singing competition, "Duo Star" back in 2016.
They had since released several songs together, including the song "Aku Cinta" that won them Best Vocals at the Anugerah Juara Lagu in 2018. The video of the performance also became one of the most watched clip of AJL with over 14 million views.
