On Monday, April 13, the HGTV Home Town star shared a photo of someone holding a print that reads “Hometown Strong.” She captioned the snap, “Imagine this: You’ve lost your job to the virus or you’ve been working from home to keep your salary when a catastrophic mile-wide F4/5 tornado rips your home away from you. On Easter Sunday. While your babies were still excited about the Easter bunny’s visit earlier that morning. That’s the unimaginable thing facing so, so many of our friends and neighbors today after yesterday’s weather. It is breathtaking. We have to lean into each other to survive it. Tonight if you’re watching the new episode of #HGTVHomeTown and thinking you love this charming town, please open your hearts to helping.”

Erin went on to share that 100 percent of the proceeds from Laurel Mercantile's Hometown Strong print will go toward the organizations feeding and dressing displaced families. And, if you can do without the print but still want to help, you can Venmo a donation to The Glory House (@glory-house), which is one of Laurel’s most reputable volunteer crisis organizations, or head to their Instagram for more ways to contribute.
As if spreading the word to her nearly 500,000 followers wasn’t helpful enough, Erin shared that her family is actually getting involved firsthand. In one of Ben's recent posts, he offered free wood to anyone who may need it for tornado repair. Talk about a couple of hometown heroes.
