15 Mar – Rumours are rife that Eric Tsang has set his eyes on another former TVB artiste to join his new circle of TVB management, and the person in question is "Deep in the Realm of Conscience" star, Steven Ma.

As reported on Mingpao, sources claimed that the new TVB Deputy General Manager of Variety and Entertainment Programme has invited Steven to take charge of the Artistes Training Department, which focuses on training new talents not only in front of the camera but for behind the scenes as well.

Eric reportedly wanted something bigger than the previous training course held by Shaw Brothers, and reportedly hopes to establish a TVB academy for performing arts. The actor supposedly has been asking both executives Catherine Tsang and Virginia Lok to try and persuade Steven to serve as the principal, seeing that the latter regarded the two as his mentors.

It is noted that Steven had previously served as a training class instructor back in 2016.

When asked about the said rumours recently, Steven shared that he has no qualms helping out if either Eric or the two TVB executives want him to contribute and participate in some way.

"I am happy to do it in terms of time, ability, and experience. But in terms of the mode of cooperation, let TVB announce it in due course. It's up to the agency to decide," he said.

Steven stated that people should not make a lot of speculations about what would transpire, and that he will welcome anything as long as it is positive.
