Epy Quizon wants to be a versatile artiste

19 Sep – Rather than seen as shedding his image as a comedy actor, Epy Quizon recently stated that his decision to do dramas is more about him becoming a more versatile actor.

As reported on Inquirer, Quizon who would rather not live in the shadow of his great comedian father Dolphy, shared that the reason why he is doing projects like "Alimuom" and "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" was so that he could be flexible with everything he does - whether it be comedy, drama, or horror; as lead actor or not.

"I want to keep exploring. I don't consider myself as just an actor, but an artiste," he said.

Aside from the two aforementioned films, Quizon revealed that he is also currently working on his short film, "Bukal", and writing his first full-length film, which he will set to direct.

"Alimuom" is also part of the 2018 ToFarm Film Festival.
