Live, from South Korea — it’s the K-Pop World Festival 2017, the globe’s biggest event dedicated to Korean pop music.
South Korean broadcaster KBS will live-stream the annual singing and dancing competition — celebrating one of the country’s biggest cultural exports — on its YouTube channel and will for the time distribute the video feed on Twitter, on Friday, Sept. 29, starting at 7 p.m. Korea Standard Time (6 a.m. ET on Friday).
On YouTube, the live-stream will be available on the KBS World TV channel. On Twitter, the K-pop World Festival 2017 will be available at KBS.twitter.com and the KBS World TV Twitter account (@KBSWorldTV).
The K-pop World Festival 2017 will feature performances from some of the top K-pop stars, along with 13 country teams competing in the final stage of the competition. Now in its seventh year, the event is organized by South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the support other government organizations, including KBS and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The K-pop World Festival 2017, being held at Changwon Sports Park stadium in Changwon, South Korea, will feature live performances from acts including BTS, Twice, Ailee, Monsta X, ASTRO and NCT127.
This year’s festival pits 13 country-team finalists battling for the top prize, performing vocal and cover dance performances. The teams (and their Twitter handles) are: the U.S. (@IV_KWF), Canada (@1PCE_), Hungary (@R3DSeven), India (@ImmortalARMYIN), Indonesia (@tiffaniafifa), Madagascar (@Antsa_fie), Malaysia (@KingsmanKWF), Nigeria (DE_FRAGILEDC), Peru (@analuciatlr), Russia (@partyhard_dt), Singapore (@mynameisakif), Turkey (@sinemkadioglu), and Vietnam (@Oops_Crew).

Twitter and the festival also launched the new Twitter Popular Choice Award. That will go to the team with the highest fan engagement — encompassing retweets, likes, replies and video views on their official team account and with their official team hashtags on Twitter — between Sept. 14-29. Voting for the Twitter Popular Choice Award closes on Friday at 7 p.m. KST. On Twitter, the official hashtag for the K-pop World Festival is #KWF2017.
