Emmerdale's Charles to share past trauma in Victor storyline

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Charles Anderson confides in his daughter Naomi Walters next week as she questions his hostile attitude towards his father Victor.

Charles tries to get his entire family on the same page as he remains wary of Victor's intentions.

This week's episodes saw Charles meet up with his dad after Victor was released from a high-security prison following a long sentence.

Charles made it clear that he wanted Victor to stay away from his family. His mum Claudette seemed equally unsettled over Victor being a free man again.

Next week, Victor goes on a mission to win his family over, but Charles and Claudette are upset that he's still in the village.

Keen to protect his mum, Charles vows to make sure that Victor leaves immediately.

Naomi has a different attitude towards Victor as she can't help feeling curious about the grandfather she has never known.

Charles is disappointed that Naomi won't take notice of his warnings about Victor, so he has another row with his father and orders him to go.

When Naomi demands an explanation for his hatred towards Victor, an emotional Charles reluctantly shares the truth about the traumatic life that he and Claudette had with the villain.

Naomi finally promises to stay away from Victor, but will she stick to her word?

Meanwhile, Charles' partner Manpreet Sharma throws a spanner in the works by suggesting that he should hear Victor out.

Victor also desperately tries to charm Claudette, claiming that he found God in prison and has changed his ways. Will Victor's persistent efforts pay off?
