To commemorate the 20th anniversary of his career-making album, Eminem also announced a SSLP20 merch capsule featuring an expanded version of "The Slim Shady LP" alongside exclusive collectibles.
Among them are mini LEGO figurines of the Detroit rapper as well as originally unused and unreleased filmstrips from photographer Danny Hasting's original shoot for the album's cover.
The anniversary edition of "The Slim Shady LP" features ten bonus tracks including acapella cuts, radio edits, instrumentals, freestyles and the rarities "Get You Mad" and "Bad Guys Always Die."
"Bad Guys Always Die" originally appeared on the soundtrack for the sci-fi western "Wild Wild West" starring Will Smith, which came out in 1999 like Eminem's breakthrough album.
Written from the perspective of the rapper's alter-ego, "The Slim Shady LP" spawned some of Eminem's classic singles such as "Just Don't Give a F**k," "Guilty Conscience," and "My Name Is."
The Detroit MC released his tenth studio album, "Kamikaze," in September 2018.
More recently, Eminem made headlines following the leak of "Things Get Worse," which was reportedly recorded during the sessions for his 2009 album "Marshall Matters."
The song finds the vocalist taking sides with fellow rapper Chris Brown over the assault of his former girlfriend Rihanna, with lyrics such as "Of course I side with Chris Brown, I'd beat a b***h down too."
In the midst of the controversy, Enimen's publicist Dennis Dennehy said in a statement that "this is a leak of something that's over 10 years old."
"After Eminem recorded it, he scrapped it, and rewrote it. Obviously he and Rihanna have a great relationship," he added, alluding to the numerous collaborative singles on which the two artists worked together.
While the expanded edition of "The Slim Shady LP" is already available on streaming platforms, physical versions of the anniversary reissue will drop on December 13 via Eminem's website.
