Emily Ratajkowski used to be "obsessed" with looking at pictures of herself and criticising her appearance.
The 28-year-old, who has been in the spotlight since she began her modelling career at the tender age of 14, has candidly revealed that she used to study images of herself from red carpet events and tear herself down.
Speaking to People magazine about her last-minute nerves ahead of big celebrity bashes, the model and actress said she no longer suffers with any anxiety before stepping out in front of the cameras.
"I'm like, 'Oh no, I just popped my arm up. Did I remember to shave my armpits?'" she shared. "But no, I don't get nervous in the same way I used to, which was so obsessive, looking at the pictures and being really hard on myself. I don't think that's healthy or constructive... I think that we're all human and that's so important to remember."
Elsewhere in the interview, the Gone Girl star opened up about her fitness regime, and shared that she relies on group workouts, such as high-intensity Zumba dance classes, to help keep her figure trim.
"When I'm going to the gym by myself it's kind of like, 'Okay what is this going to be like, what kind of mood am I in?' I think that the class itself has so much energy and the way that the music is curated does help. There's good bass and beat so you end up working harder," she explained.
