Emily DiDonato was left stunned after Karlie Kloss shared her candid video on body image.
Back in August, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model opened up about her struggles with her body in a 15-minute video on her YouTube channel, and recalled troubling experiences in which agencies told her she had to lose weight.
Since then, Emily has been blown away by the support she's received from her fellow models and fans on social media, and told People.com that she was overwhelmed when former Victoria's Secret Angel Karlie reposted her video on Twitter.
"So many people reached out, and so many outlets picked it up. I was blown away," she explained. "I had girls like Karlie Kloss repost it, and I was like, 'Oh my God.' I couldn't believe how much it resonated with so many different types of people. But, I mean, now that I think about it, it's actually a no brainer that it does."
She also thanked other models, such as Iskra Lawrence, for their unwavering support.
"Iskra is one of those people who posts things that are positive and relatable. So I can wake up and go, 'Okay, I'm not the only one who feels that way today.' I tend to veer away from following people who post the perfect, retouched version of themselves," Emily stated.
The 28-year-old discussed why she shared her struggles with body positivity in such a public way, and acknowledged that her message wouldn't have been as well-received a few years ago.
Noting that the industry is "slowly changing", she said it was now "more acceptable for women of all shapes and sizes to be a full force."
