Emily Blunt to Make SNL Hosting Debut

The Girl on the Train is hopping off at Studio 8H.

Emily Blunt will make her Saturday Night Live hosting debut next month, TVLine has learned exclusively. An NBC spokesperson declined to comment, but I’m hearing the actress will headline the Oct. 15 edition (which falls one week after the release of her new thriller, The Girl on the Train).

Margot Robbie will kick off Season 42 this Saturday, with The Weeknd serving as musical guest. And as reported earlier today, the Oct. 8 show will be fronted by Hamilton phenom Lin-Manuel Miranda.

SNL enters its new season down three cast members, including veterans Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah and one-and-done featured player Jon Rudnitsky.

To fill the void, EP Lorne Michaels has hired a trio of newbies: SNL writer Mikey Day, male improv performer Alex Moffat and Latina impressionist/actor Melissa Villaseñor.
