Emilia Clarke Wore ALL The Blush To The Met Gala

Emilia Clarke, first of her name, has a new title to add to her ever-growing list: Queen of wearing blush. The Game of Thrones and Solo: A Star Wars Story actress hit the Met Gala red carpet wearing a beauty look that was all about a dramatic sweep of hot pink blush.

Celebrity Makeup Artist for Laura Mercier Jillian Dempsey was the woman behind Clarke's intense flush To prep, Jillian hydrated Clarke's skin with a "couple of spritzes" of Laura Mercier Perfecting Water Moisture Mist. She then applied Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation in Linenas her base. Then came the blush: to create a "flushed, ethereal look," Dempsey swept Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Heather Pink in a c-shape across her cheekbones and temples. “I focused on generously applying blush to both her cheeks and eyes for an especially gilded angelic look," she says.

To keep the look monochromatic and cohesive, Dempsey applied Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Barely Pinkonto Clarke's eyes, then traced the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Gilded Goldunder her lower lashline for "a pop of metallic to tie into her golden crown." She made the eye look glowier with a touch of Jillian Dempsey Lid Tint in Glimmer: “this combination intensified Emilia’s striking blue eyes," she says. After a little black tightliner and filled-in brows, Dempsey applied a coat or two of Laura Mercier Long Lash Mascara.

Clarke's lip color was customized just for her, using Laura Mercier Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick in Hot and Fatale. "Lips can be hard to maintain, especially if you’re doing a lot of eating or talking, and I knew this formula would get her through the night," notes Dempsey.
