Elton John will perform in Singapore in late 2019 as the British pop star brings his 50-year glittering career to a close with a 300-date world tour.

According to a media release by local concert promoter 19sixtyfive on Friday (9 February), the singer will visit Asia in November and December next year with stops in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Seoul as well.

The “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” three-year tour will kick off in the US on 8 September 2018 and take place across five continents – North and South America, Asia, Europe and Australasia.

The 70-year-old musical legend, who is well-known for hits such as “Candle in the Wind”, “Something About the Way You Look Tonight” and “Nikita”, announced his retirement at a media conference in New York last month.

According to media reports, he said, “I’m not going to be touring and traveling the world (anymore). My priorities have changed. I have young children.”
