Ellen Joyce Loo found dead outside home
13 Aug – Hong Kong singer Ellen Joyce Loo has recently been found dead outside her residence in Happy Valley.
As reported on Mingpao, a police source confirmed the news, saying that they received a report of a person falling from a building on Sing Woo Road on 5 August, which was later identified as the singer.
Prior to the tragedy, Loo held a Facebook Live session on 2 August, where she listened to her favourite songs with fans. Many claimed that she seemed to be in a good mood and was swaying happily with the music.
She was also seen at Eason Chan's contract renewal event the day after, telling the media that she is currently in a middle of recording new songs.
Her last public post on Facebook read, "I am going to do something great today – it is one of the decisions I made for myself since I turned 30. I finally understand why people take selfies of themselves. You really want to take a picture of yourself when your morale is high."
On the other hand, the authorities said that initial investigation revealed no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
She was 32.
