Elizabeth Olsen to Jon Stewart: Here's How I Got My Scarlet Witch Groove for 'Ultron'

Adam Levine moves like Jagger. Scarlet Witch moves like nothing else on the planet.
As explained by actress Elizabeth Olsen on last night’s Daily Show, filmmakers got creative with her new hero in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Host Jon Stewart, a self-professed comic book nerd, told Olsen during her appearance on Monday night’s show (at the 3:38-mark) that her mind-reading, perception-skewing character doesn’t wield a hammer, don a tech suit, or have uncanny hand-to-hand combat skills. “So much of it is internal,” observed Stewart.
Marvel hired a “movement coach” to work with Olsen to create signature moves for Scarlet Witch representing her ability to warp reality and conjure “chaos magic.” Said Olsen: “We [had to] make up how she moves — because [in the comics] it’s only in images… which was fun. I got to do some cool training.”

The plus side to having magical mind powers: Olsen was able to do her own stunts. “I was always with everyone’s stunt double because no one’s doing my stunts because I’m just shooting fake things out of my hands,” the 26-year-old actress explained as she and Stewart erupted into giggles.
