Elaine Ng's relationship with daughter Etta is better now

21 Jan – Elaine Ng recently revealed that her relationship with daughter Etta is much better now as the two of them have learned to respect each other.

In an interview with Mingpao to promote her new series, "Ink at Tai Ping", the former Miss Asia stated that she used to hurt her daughter with her words a lot in the past as she often blurt out her thoughts without thinking of her daughter's feelings.

"Now my temper and emotional situation is better than before. I will filter my words before saying them. Etta is an adult now and we must respect and be considerate of each other," she said.

When asked if she is still worried about Etta's finances following her past statement about the latter having to take care of wife Andi, Elaine tried to be diplomatic when she expressed, "It's an experience, not necessarily a bad thing. Only after you experience something that you learn to cherish it. No matter what other people say, you must learn things yourself."

On the other hand, Elaine, who was recently reunited with her estranged father, stated that she has no resentment towards him despite him leaving her mother following their divorce. Her father is currently living in the US.

"It's boring to talk about it. I told him that it does not matter whoever was right or wrong in the past, he just have to let it go," she added.
